Characters:White monoclinic crystal or amorphous powder, non-toxic, odorless, stable in the air. Relative density: 2.16. insoluble in water, aqueous solution is weakly acidic, solubility in water: 0.02 %(15℃). easily soluble in acids and Ammonium salt solution. Can be easily decomposed into magnesia and carbon dioxide incalcination. Will release carbon dioxide in diluted acid. Slightly soluble in water.
